A forecast for Nevis? Sunshine

A forecast for Nevis? Sunshine
Cresentia O’Flaherty was not a name I’d heard before, nor one I’ve come across since, but it was presented to me proudly by our taxi driver as he drove us from Nevis’s tiny airport to our hotel, the Montpelier Plantation Inn. I had invited him to list his island’s most famous inhabitants. Heaven knows we needed a distraction, because it was raining cats and dogs, or more accurately goats.

The 40 Year-Old Virgin (Unrated 2-Disc Double Your Pleasure Edition)

The 40 Year-Old Virgin (Unrated 2-Disc Double Your Pleasure Edition)

Andy Stitzer (Steve Carell) has gone 40 years without “doing it.” Now his pals are making it their mission to help him score… fast! Can he survive their hilariously bad advice? Will he land in the arms of the way-too-experienced or the way-too-drunk? Or can he find true love where he least expects – from a gorgeous grandmother (Catherine Keener)? When it comes to sex, there’s only one sure thing – The 40-Year-Old Virgin. The outrageous comedy hit is now the DVD that makes the pleasure last forever!Cult comic actor Steve Carell–long adored for his supporting work on The Daily Show and in movies like Bruce Almighty and Anchorman–leaps into leading man status with The 40 Year-Old Virgin. There’s no point describing the plot; it’s about how a 40 year-old virgin named Andy (Carell) finally finds true love and gets laid. Along the way, there are very funny scenes involving being coached by his friends, speed dating, being propositioned by his female manager, and getting his chest waxed. Carell finds both humor and humanity in Andy, and the supporting cast includes some standout comic work from Paul Rudd (Clueless, The Shape of Things) and Jane Lynch (Best in Show, A Mighty Wind), as well as an unusually straight performance from Catherine Keener (Lovely & Amazing, Being John Malkovich). And yet… something about the movie misses the mark. It skirts around the topic of male sexual anxiety, mining it for easy jokes, but never really digs into anything that would make the men in the audience actually squirm–and it’s a lot less funny as a result. Nonetheless, there are many great bits, and Carell deserves the chance to shine. –Bret Fetzer

Dating To Relating – From A To Z (A Man’s Guide To Understanding Women)

Dating To Relating – From A To Z (A Man’s Guide To Understanding Women)

In the one short year since it’s inception, DatingToRelating.com has become the second most popular men’s dating and relationship advice site on the internet. (Alexa Rankings). Outranking long time established and stellar Gurus such as Neil Strauss’ and Mystery’s websites.

And no wonder! Dating To Relating – From A to Z, is a complete guide for men. Mr. L. Rx takes it one step further than any of the other Gurus and teaches you how to both meet women and relate to them.

In what has been called the “New Bible” of men’s dating and relating, Mr. L. Rx shows you the real basics behind meeting women, attracting women, picking-up women, seducing women, and relating to women. Furthermore he shows you how relating to women successfully ultimately depends on how you go about first meeting them.

Dating to Relating does not give you one simple “Numbers Game” strategy. (Something that you might be totally uncomfortable with.) Instead it gives you a number of situational strategies that you can use for different personality types and different situations. It also gives you a dating technology which teaches you how to develop your own “dating strategy” unique to you, your personality, the personality of the women you are interested in and other situational variables.

There is nothing else like Dating To Relating on the market. Nowhere else will you find a book that will take you all the way from meeting women to marrying them, and nowhere else will you find a book with both dating and relationship strategies and dating and relationship technologies. Nowhere else will you find a book that can benefit ALL men, no matter what their personality is like, and no matter how old, ugly, shy, or poor they are.

Sizzling hot Ashton Kutcher (JUST MARRIED, TV’s THAT ’70s SHOW, PUNK’D) and sexy Tara Reid (AMERICAN PIE 1 & 2, VAN WILDER) star in the outrageous comedy from the director of SCARY MOVIE 3 and in the irreverent style of OLD SCHOOL and AMERICAN WEDDING! When ambitious junior executive Tom Stansfield (Kutcher) accepts an invitation to the stately home of his grouchy boss (Terence Stamp — THE HAUNTED MANSION), he thinks it is for a big date with his boss’s sexy daughter (Reid). But Tom gets a big surprise when he’s expected to house-sit! And while he’s left to hold down the fort, Tom’s out-of-control co-workers begin showing up ready to party! Also featuring Molly Shannon (SERENDIPITY, TV’s SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE) and Carmen Electra (SCARY MOVIE 2, TV’s BAYWATCH) –– it’s the longer, funnier, and R-rated version that you have to see to believe!Heartthrob Ashton Kutcher lends his mix of leading-man looks and goofball personality to the cascading disaster farce of My Boss’s Daughter. Tom Stansfield (Kutcher, Just Married) thinks he’s going out on a date with Lisa (Tara Reid, American Pie), the daughter of his tyrannical boss, Mr. Taylor (Terence Stamp, The Limey)–but in fact, he’s unknowingly agreed to house-sit the boss’s house, which is loaded with antiques, a cash-filled safe, and a depressed owl. Of course, everything goes awry, starting with the owl escaping and culminating in a drug-dealing thug being buried in the back yard while Tom drives Mr. Taylor’s car through the front of the house. The supporting cast is bizarrely star-studded, including Molly Shannon, Andy Richter, Jeffrey Tambor, Michael Madsen, Dave Foley, and Carmen Electra. Directed by David Zucker (Airplane!, the Naked Gun series); it must have all looked good on paper. –Bret Fetzer

double your dating book

dear brent-

hyeck hyeck. pretty funny.

planning skills? nah it’s reading skills. i wrote the date down, see?
you kept wanting it to be after your birthday. if that is your real
birthday: your linkedin profile says march 1 and you act like a
pisces, shifty.

why are you telling me this? it’s your problem you’re double booked
not mine.

*and* why are you telling me yes again, you told me yes already.
boring. you’re going to have to keep your promises. all of them.

you also completely forgot to pass the executive customer relations
info on to Lee or care to update me about his situation with the bank.
so did you?

you know, i don’t call you out, and i’m gentle with your very tender
ego because i am nice and not stupid.

i’d also like to point out that i’ve never spent your birthday with
you. you’ve never invited me to (including the upcoming one.) you
planned me around it. you willed really hard for me to come back in
february… and the latter part of february.
‘oh elle i love you but uh… not going to invite you to my birthday.
i’m going to treat myself.’ *that* would have been honest.
