eHarmony is America’s #1 trusted relationship service. The company was founded by one of America’s most well known relationship experts, best-selling author and clinical psychologist Dr. Neil Clark Warren.

In 2000, backed by over 35 years of clinical and empirical research, Dr. Warren transformed the way singles are introduced online when he launched eHarmony – the first relationship service on the Web to use a scientific approach to match highly compatible singles. Millions of people of all ages, ethnicities, and religious backgrounds have used eHarmony’s patented Compatibility Matching Systemâ„¢ to find the love of their lives.

In fact, recent research presented at the American Psychological Society found that eHarmony married couples are significantly happier than couples married for a similar length of time who met by other means.
Building on its enormous success matching compatible singles, eHarmony launched a revolutionary new service in 2006 to help couples achieve stronger, healthier and happier marriages. eHarmony Marriage is a personalized, interactive, online “marriage wellness” program designed to help marriages flourish by building a deepened sense of understanding, appreciation and connectedness. eHarmony Marriage gives every couple the opportunity to look at their marriage objectively and increase the joy and intimacy in a private, practical and positive program.

I’m over here in the UK for the Thought Bubble Festival and a bunch of other stuff on the side.

First up though, I’ll be buggering about the countryside, going to several places, signing at the Traveling Man comic stores in both Newcastle ( 19th November ) and Manchester,( 20th November ). Check with them for actual times as I don’t seem to have that info.

Next, on November 21st, it’s the Thought Bubble Festival in Leeds.

Commission info:

If I can get a couple done, I’ll be doing painted up commissions there, anything you like ( well almost ) with the exchange rate the way it is these days, £90 for small ( US equivalent of A4 size ) and £150 for large ( The US version of A3 basically,). I’ll have a few prints & artist proofs for sale as well, and as always sketches in books to sign etc are free.

Right then, Here’s what I’ll be getting up to at the festival:

From 10am to 12.30pm I’ll be signing and sketching with Antony Johnston.

12:45-13:45 – Do Zombies Read Comic Books? Saviles Hall, Curtained Area. Host Martin Grund. Panel Discussion on the popularity of the horror genre in modern comics. We will be asking guests Charlie Adlard, Ben Templesmith, Antony Johnston, and Sean Phillips what they think the appeal is of titles like The Walking Dead, Wormwood Gentleman Corpse, Marvel Zombies, and Dead Space. ( Thus I will proceed to desperately trying to look like I know what I’m talking about. )

Then from 2pm till 5pm I’ll be back at my table drawing/chatting etc.

17:15-18:15 – Crisis of Infinite Crayons. Alea Top Bar, 18+. Pictionary meets Draw the Marvel Way. Two teams of top comics artists complete various challenges to decide who is best! From the makers of the Kryptonite Factor. Guests include Charlie Adlard, Sean Phillips, Mike Carey, and Ben Templesmith.

Then it’ll be down to London for Comica!

November 24th I’ll be doing an "In Conversation" type thing ( I think ) with writer and director Philip Ridley at the Institute of Contemporary Art, 6:45pm in the Nash Room, followed by a signing. Get tickets at the ICA website here.

Then November 26th sees me doing a right proper signing at Orbital Comics! See their site for details, hopefully up soon.

About Lord Tennyson Elementary

Our School

The school is named after the famous 19th century British Poet Laureate – Lord Alfred Tennyson.
The school is a beautiful crimson red brick building dating from 1912. It boasts a wonderful park-like playground with picnic tables, a native garden, planters, benches, adventure playgrounds, a basketball court, and a grass soccer field.

Lord Tennyson is a French Immersion school enrolling 340 students in fourteen divisions. The school has two daycares on site: TOSS (Kinder and primary care) & YMCA (Intermediates); an another in the area – Kitsilano Neighbourhood House.

Mutual respect and concern for others are the hallmark of our school community. One of the school’s distinguishing characteristics is its openness. There is much opportunity for parent involvement in the school, making for an active Parent Advisory Council.

The Circuit

The Circuit

The A Circuit is the top of the top when it comes to horse shows. It’s a world with its own rules and superprivileged lifestyles. Teens travel the circuit all year, showing horses that cost as much as some homes.

Tommi, Kate, and Zara are all elite competitors on the circuit, but they come from totally different backgrounds. Tommi is a billionaire heiress trying to prove she has real talent (not just deep bank accounts). Kate puts the working in working student-every win has been paid for with hours of cleaning stalls. She’s used to the grueling schedule, but Fitz, the barn’s resident hot guy, is about to become a major distraction. And then there’s Zara. She’s the wild child of a famous rockstar, but she’s ready to take riding seriously. Can a party girl really change her ways?

Readers who enjoy peeking into the elite world of Gossip Girl or The A-List will feel right at home in this new series with its friendships, drama, and privilege set against the backdrop of competitive horseback riding.
